Depending on your preference, we can create your marri timber table in a variety of shapes and sizes including round, square, oval and long rectangular tables. This distinct bloodwood has a rich honey colour with distinctive veins that makes an elegant piece to complement your home aesthetics. From sharing meals and hosting game nights to sorting laundry and doing homework with the kids, a table is a crucial component of a busy family home so make sure you have one that you can enjoy.

    Choosing The Right Size Marri Timber Table

    A round table works best in a smaller room, to create an intimate, cosy setting. This is the best shape for small groups, but large tables can benefit from a lazy susan to avoid feeling far from shared dishes or condiments at the centre of the table. If you want complete flexibility, opt for a round table that can be extended into an oval for occasions when you have more guests. Rectangular tables are the most common shape as most dining areas, and rooms are rectangle-shaped. This is also a good shape if you have more than four people dining, as you can allow the recommended 50 centimetres per diner and still accommodate people at the ends and sides of the table. Square tables look at their best in a square dining area or room. This option is ideal if you seldom have more than three or four people dining in your home, but it is possible to purchase an extending square marri table that allows you to transform it into a rectangular table for those special occasions. Oval tables are similar to rectangular tables, but the rounded corners mean that they will visually take up less space. This makes it an excellent option for a smaller or narrower room.

    Decorating Marri Tables

    Finally, before you make your final purchase decision, you should consider how you would like to decorate your new marri table. You can inject personality into your dining room with your choice of table decor. Whether you opt for a fresh flower centrepiece, place candles in glass jars, or simply use colourful placemats and a coordinating runner, your preferred decor may influence the shape of your ideal marri table.
